I first learned about Frank in 2017 when everyone was sending their saliva to Ancestry to see what story their DNA had to tell. Never in a million years did I expect to learn all that I have about my dad’s story, or my White ancestors. Frank Hyman’s research, advocacy, and love of just being the best person he can be, helped me to understand stories about my paternal lineage that may resonate with people today. Join me to talk a bit about Frank’s research on what many may not know about the Civil War and America’s first reconstruction, when our ancestors struggled to integrate.
